Terms & Conditions

TERMS

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Adviskin service via our website www.adviskin.com and web/mobile application.

By using our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Adviskin Ltd is a UK-registered digital health provider offering remote-only, asynchronous dermatology consultations. Our services are delivered exclusively online, using secure photo uploads and clinical questionnaires.

Company Name: Adviskin Ltd

Company Number: 16292979

Email: support@adviskin.com

2. Scope of Services

We offer dermatology assessments through the following steps:

  • – You submit information via our secure clinical questionnaire
  • – You upload photos of your skin concern
  • – GMC-registered clinicians review your case asynchronously
  • – You receive a written diagnostic report and treatment recommendation

Our services are not suitable for emergencies. For urgent issues, please contact NHS 111 or dial 999.

3. Forming the Contract

A legally binding agreement is formed when you:

  • – Submit a case through the Adviskin platform
  • – Agree to these Terms
  • – Complete payment for the service

Once submitted, your case will be reviewed by a clinician, and the consultation cannot be reversed unless done prior to review (see Section 9).

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • – Provide accurate, truthful health information
  • – Upload clear, relevant photos as requested
  • – Use the service only for yourself or for a dependent with proper consent
  • – Keep your login or access code secure

We reserve the right to cancel your submission if the content is incomplete, inappropriate, or unsuitable for remote assessment.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 The fees for our services are displayed clearly before submission and are as follows:

  • – Standard Assessment (72h turnaround): £35
  • – Fast Track (24h turnaround): £55
  • – Adviskin Plus (same-day with care plan): £75

5.2 All payments on the Adviskin platform are processed securely via Stripe, a trusted third-party payment processor.

5.3 Stripe handles all financial transactions, including credit/debit card authorisation, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Adviskin does not store or have direct access to your full payment card details.

5.4 When you make a payment, the following applies:

  • – You will be redirected to a secure Stripe-hosted payment form
  • – Your card data is encrypted and processed securely
  • – Stripe will send confirmation of successful payment to Adviskin
  • – Adviskin will only receive transaction metadata (e.g. status, timestamp, last 4 digits of your card) for recordkeeping

5.5 Once payment is confirmed, a legally binding contract is formed, and your case is submitted for clinical review.

5.6 Refund Policy:

  • – Full refunds are available if your case is cancelled before a clinician has reviewed your submission
  • – No refunds are issued once a clinical review has commenced
  • – Refund requests must be sent to support@adviskin.com with your order ID

5.7 By submitting payment via our platform, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which govern the handling of your payment information.

6. Accessing Results

You can access your medical report via:

  • – A unique 6-digit code (anonymous option), or
  • – Your registered account login

We are not responsible for misuse of your access code or account credentials.

7. Limitations of Clinical Responsibility

7.1. Limitations of Remote Diagnosis

  • – Our clinicians do not physically examine you — all decisions are based solely on the images and information you provide.
  • – Certain skin conditions may look similar in photos, and visual assessments may have diagnostic limitations.
  • – If photos are unclear, cropped, filtered, poorly lit, or taken too early or late in the course of the condition, the diagnosis may be inaccurate or missed.

7.2. Conditions Not Suitable for Remote Assessment

Adviskin does not assess or treat:

  • – Emergencies (e.g. spreading infections, suspected sepsis)
  • – Rapidly changing lesions suggestive of melanoma
  • – Skin conditions in newborns <6 months
  • – Acute allergic reactions or systemic symptoms

If any of these are suspected, Adviskin will redirect you to in-person NHS or emergency services immediately.

7.3. Duty to Escalate

  • – Our doctors follow robust clinical safety netting and will recommend urgent escalation if there is any risk of harm.
  • – However, you remain responsible for seeking emergency care if symptoms worsen or you are advised to do so.

7.4. Clinical Outcome Disclaimer

Adviskin Ltd and its clinicians are not liable for adverse outcomes, including delayed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, or progression of disease, when:

  • – Your information or images were incomplete, unclear, or inaccurate
  • – You delayed seeking in-person care after being advised
  • – You declined referral or chose not to follow medical recommendations
  • – Our service is not intended to replace face-to-face dermatology or general medical care when required.

8. Data Protection

All personal and medical data is handled in line with UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and NHS DSP Toolkit requirements.

For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

9. Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase unless the service has already been performed.

  • If you withdraw before clinical review, you will receive a full refund
  • If the clinician has already started your assessment, the right to withdraw may no longer apply

To request a withdrawal, email: support@adviskin.com

10. Complaints

If you’re not satisfied with our service, contact us at support@adviskin.com.

If unresolved, you may escalate to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman, depending on the issue.

11. Copyright and Intellectual Property

11.1 By submitting photographs, questionnaire responses, or other content to Adviskin, you grant Adviskin Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to use, store, process, and analyse this material solely for the purpose of delivering the teledermatology consultation. This includes review by GMC-registered clinicians, secure archiving, and producing your medical report.

13.3 The use of Adviskin’s public-facing website (without registration or case submission) does not constitute a contractual relationship between the user and Adviskin Ltd. No clinical advice is provided unless a full consultation is initiated and completed.
